For the first time in history, another piece of matter exists in the universe that is worthy enough to share its title with Canada’s favourite cookie. For an equal amount of sticky drool dangled from my mouth, the moment I saw the lineup for this years Decadence at The Guvernment/Kool Haus complex in Toronto. Its safe to say that the organizers of the event smartened up this year, as the only big name to hit Decadence 7 last year was David Guetta. This 8th annual gathering at the Guv features a lineup of unspeakable destruction, a collection of DJs that are sure to bring the most peaking levels of ecstasy that the Toronto faithful have yet to attain. This evening of glory will take place on Thursday, April 21st, and the headliners of the evening read as follows: AXWELL (1/3 of SHM for u noobs), CALVIN HARRIS, CHRIS LAKE, TIGA, KASKADE & BOYS NOIZE.

To all you beautiful people who follow The Worst Guy religiously, your persistence will once again be rewarded. Currently the ticket prices for the event are a goo-inducing $40, a expense that is laughable compared to the evening’s musical worth. I have no doubt that prices will escalate quickly, so buy a ticket now anyhow, for even if you cannot attend you shall receive a healthy turn on your investment closer to the date. “PRESS RELEASE: In Dec, while on tour in upstate New York, Brownman’s car was tragically stolen in Buffalo. This jazz trumpet player’s losses total close to $10,000.

In response, the Toronto music community has come together to throw a benefit for Brownman to try and offset the cost of a replacement car. On Sun-Feb-27, a night of varying and vibrant music will ensue featuring some of the most acclaimed and in demand artists in Toronto taking the stage this night from assorted genres he’s worked in over the years from jazz to hiphop to latin to electronica, all coming out in support of Brownman’s stolen ride (Brownman himself will guest with all the artists).
