All you wobble wankers,
I come with the latest installment of heavy hitting music, not specific to just Dubstep (contrary to what the title presumes), but a Smörgåsbord of bass-defiled chunes all equipped with arsenal of thick, meaty sounds to fill your swollen ear-holes. Finding all of these resounding tracks has given my brain and hands a much needed break from the shitstorm of exams hitting college students nationwide, and so I hope it’s the perfect amount of filth to grease your brain and give it a much needed “Dubbreak”. Be sure to let the haunting synths and boombastic bass take you away into a magical world where your exams consist of petting horses and picking flowers in an elegant meadow of tulips and daisies, while your professor sits restfully under a tree reciting poems of wry…ahhhhh how school can make you so delirious…
- Signed Sincerely, Dr. Robotnix
A very chilled, laid-back track (not Luke) that makes you almost feel like you are in a music video out in Beverly Hills. Here’s to hoping the Lakers use it as their opening anthem.
I was almost worried that nobody had made a dirty remix to this gem. Thank god someone had the balls to do it, and Schoolboy really takes the original to a totally different level of head-bang.
What can be more biohazardous than Downlink creating a floor-crushing Drumstep banger capable of totally dominating your body? Maybe the shit floating over here from Japan…but I doubt that even has enough power to do what this track just did to me and the other 3 people who just collapsed around me.
This baby’s got an irresistible bassline that ignites uncontrollable dance moves I can only associate with grand-mal seizures.
I cannot begin to tell you how obsessed I am with this track right now. Leave it to Rusko to mesmerize us with sounds so unique and unheard in the Dubstep realm that it begs the question if Rusko should be categorized under my Dubstep folder, or just create his own folder and genre titled, Ruskstep.
Wow. Thank you Rusko for attracting one of the top producers in Drum N Bass to spin his own take on this beast. Now I can safely say I have two obsessions.
Respect goes to our trippy trooper, Hooch for passing this one on to me earlier this week. As featured on his Tuesday posts, Break Science is well known among followers of this site for bringing a smoother electronic sound, and this takes no exception…even when Nicki Minaj’s vocals are sampled through.
As I’m sure most of you are well aware of by now, the soundtrack for Mortal Kombat 2011 has been released and with it brings a new age in video game theme songs. Pairing top-notch producers with classic characters have given each of these MK combatants an epic theme that fits perfectly with their personalities. Take Baraka for example. A mean, uncontrollable warrior of Shao Khan with huge blades and gnarly teeth, its really only fitting that his theme would be the heavy, unforgiving sounds of Drumstep by Run DMT
Need more examples? How about how Tokimonsta manages to perfectly fill the pure evilness of Mileena’s character in a dark, ominous, ravey track with trippy-as-fuck ambient vibes floating in the background.
After successfully watching almost every video there is to be found online from Ultra 2011 I can safely say that the people who went to go watch Doctor P’s countless sets ended up getting their money’s worth right then and there. I’m so excited to see him destroy Ontario in August for WEMF, as his live abilities look like they are just as virtuosic as his production abilities.
