The TITs Week 74

4 Apr

Hey Y’all,

Long story short there’s way too much music for me to give to you right now, and way too many concert reviews I need to finish so that you may live/re-live them, so im not going to babble much. The only thing thats of note really is that we’re giving away two tickets to Decadence, so if you want em feel free to enter our contest, which pretty much revolves around you sitting on your ass.

- Signed Sincerely, The Worst Guy

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If this is the first you are hearing of Gramatik, you’ve got a lot of awesome homework to catch up on. When it comes to¬†genre diversity, frequency of new music submission, and quality of final product, this man is simply untouchable.
Porter Robinson – Language
It’s been a while since Porter pumped out a real anthem anthem, and with the inception of this effervescently uplifting new release, he has raised his own bar production wise once again. The last big room production of note from him was his Edge Of Glory remix (as far as I can remember) and Language is leaps and bounds more textured and colourful than it’s Gaga-related predecessor.
P.S. here’s some new releases from people Porter has toured alongside:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Louis La Roche – Touch Wood

The Louis monster is at it again with this brilliantly soulful original mix aptly named Touch Wood. I am been a die hard fan of his for over 2 years now, and as such have learned tons of invaluable knowledge on both production and the industry via his countless Ustream sessions. If you are an aspiring Nu/Italo-Disco producer thats looking for a benchmark role-model, the La Roche-enator is your man.

P.S. here’s a few of the recent Jet Life remixes that Viceroy has blessed us with:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ultra 2012
If you are like me, and did not have the good fortune to participate in this years rendition of the annual Ultra celebrations in Miami, then you’ll probably appreciate this substitute – the most high quality gathering of all the best sets I could find from the festival. Just close your eyes, apply sunscreen to the proper places and turn them on loud enough, and it should be a nominal substitute.
Desibel (Club Mix)
New Far Too Loud tracks seem to come around far too sparsely nowadays, but lord knows that when they do emerge, they are always triumphant and something to be cranked on end in a big club environment.
P.S. here’s another new banger from the swedish hands of F.O.O.L:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Klangkarussell – Sonnentanz

Find a comfy spot, lie down, put on headphones, click play, and let this Austrian melt away whatever it is that’s bothering you.

P.S. If that didn’t relax you, this should:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Flosstradamus – Hood Fantasy
DAYYUM SON WHERR’D YA FIND THISS?!?!?
P.S. here’s some more new Hip-Hop’d electronic music
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Our good friends from Portland have just released their self-titled first album Shadows On Stars, and in doing so have shoveled a healthy heap of maturity onto the sound we first heard from them back in November.¬†There’s a really good reason why I haven’t made my way westward so I can find out what the hell is in the water in that city, and to be honest im still looking for it.

P.S. here’s a sweet remix of their breakout single from Chi Duly:
