Several new remixes have just surfaced of Nero’s funky, electro hit ‘Must Be The Feeling’. This track was undoubtedly my favourite from Welcome Reality, and I’m absolutely loving the diverse collection of remixes being released lately. So far my official count is at 7, but I’ll let you know if anything more materializes from this. The full remix album will be released on March 5th and will include the remixes by Flux Pavilion & Nero, SebastiAn, Kill The Noise, Azari & III, and Brookes Brothers. Sorry, no Knife Party.
For the French duo have finally crawled out of whatever nook and/or cranny they have hidden in for the past couple of years, and emerged on the other side victorious once again. The boys took that time to meticulously rework, re-program and simplify their sound towards a “more practical electronic aesthetic” – as Xavier so eloquently put it. Well however you’re looking to label it, this upcoming Justice album is going to equal the second coming of christ for the majority of the EDM community; thus making October 25th an international holiday, or the apocalypse. Either way its going to be epic.
There really isn’t much for me to say here, as the musical capabilities that these two Frenchman possess far surpasses any logical words in the English language. My advice would simply be to make sure that you have fully prepped yourself by the time the album drops sometime this fall, the world is going to turn upside down once again…
So sorry that i’m posting this so late, in preparing my set list for Saturday night/Sunday Morning I almost totally forgot about The TITs. Thankfully most of the music that I put in my set was taken directly from this playlist, so I didn’t have to scramble much. Plus, all you boys and girls that come out to the ABC festivities @ Vic Park on Saturday/Sunday, will have an opportunity to hear all the music you so lovingly stream from this site live and LOUD. Its going to be a full 24 hours of nonstop food, football, live music and Worst Guy t-shirts. The thick of the DJ sets are being split between the hours leading up to the bar and after it, so if you find yourself either without a place to predrink or still in a party mood after last call, just make your way over to the giant glowstick-related party at the park (or just stay there all day). My set will most likely be at 3 am and will be located within the Silent Disco tent. #cantfuckingwait
Its safe to say that Devin Martin has been a cornerstone to this website from pretty much day one, but today marks a major milestone in both our careers. For Devin, its the first time he has created a dubstep track post his Nero-related revelation, and under the influence of alcohol. For me, it was the first time when I had any sort of direct input on a successfully produced track, even if it was just the influence for the title. In any case, I think well be expecting a lot more dubstep tracks from Devin in the future.
Well, the most well respected label in the industry is at it again. To start off, Justice have finally reemerged from the ashes and brought with them some treats of the tastiest proportions. Civilizations has been roaring on repeat in my apartment for a couple of days now, and it made my shit the other day seem like an epic slow motion battle scene from 300.
Before that release, I had been looping the Embody music video for close to a week and was kinda glad to have quelled the addiction for a bit. So much for that. Immediately following the release of Civilizations, SebastiAn promptly released the full 320 version of Embody and coupled it with a remix from Kavinsky.
I am in a serious deadlock over which remix of Gaga’s track is better. On top of that, I am baffled by how fitting Gaga’s vocals are in these remixes despite the fact that the original is such crap. Thankfully, I saw both these versions being dropped live within the same week and I was able to accurately pick a winner. Ive been a Dadahead for close to 4 years now, but I gotta give this one to Zedd, for the lone reason…that will reveal itself when I post my review tomorrow. #worstguy
With the amount of touring that Sonny has been doing lately, I find it astounding how hes had time to sit down and knock out so many new tracks. Whats more, the tracks are getting better with each release and the 5’4 dubchild doesn’t look like hes going to be slowing down anytime soon. Congratulations haters, you’re going to have a lot to yap about for a long long time.
The sole reason I put this track on the playlist this week, is due to the sample capabilities of the opening vocals. With Hospital Beds being one of my favourite indie tracks, and Florence being one of my favourite female vocalists, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for someone with talent to tamper with a pure sample of her voice. It’s not that im opposed to this version, I just would just much rather hear it in a remixed electronica form. So, a free Worst Guy t-shirt awaits the producer who provides me with the tastiest offering. Contest closes on April 14th, GET CREATIVE.
